Teen care and sports physicals in Clermont

Teens keep seeing their pediatrician until 21. The yearly visit covers growth, sleep, mood and sports, with time alone with the doctor or nurse practitioner.

The yearly teen visit

We check growth, blood pressure, vision and any vaccines that are due, and we ask about sleep, school, mood and stress.

Part of the visit is private time between your teen and the doctor or nurse practitioner. Parents are welcome for the rest. We will explain what Florida law lets us keep private and what we share with you.

Sports physicals

Bring the form from your child's school or league, with the parent part filled in. We do the exam and sign the form at the visit. If a yearly checkup is due, we can do both at once.

Questions about teen care and sports physicals

How early should we book a sports physical?

Summer fills up fast. Book in May or June for fall sports so the form is ready before tryouts.

Until what age can my child see you?

We see patients until age 21, so college students can keep their pediatrician through school breaks.
